Cargo Jackets!

With every season comes a must have, and for this spring that must have would be a cargo jacket.
These jackets are great for warm and cool weather. I love to match them up with skirts and dresses for contrast, and of course they go well with jeans. The come in many different textures, prints, and colors; my favorite happens to be the Khaki.

Everyone loves them!

This is me rocking the cargo jacket trend during my spring break. I bought this jacket a year ago because I just loved the style, especially the belt. Who knew I'd be one step ahead for what is the "IT" thing?

I wore it with a simple black tank, black pencil skirt, gray socks, and brown boots and bag. The jacket has enough going on with the pockets and straps, so I didn't want to complicate things; less is more.

P.S. I really need to buy a good camera lol

Trend Alert: Bell Bottoms!

Inspired by the 70's, bell bottoms are rocking the street chic scene everywhere most commonly in the form of jeans. They work great for all height and body types. They elongate the legs, hide the belly bulge, and are comfortable for everyday wear. They work best with a simple top like a tank, but can even be paired with the perfect blouse.

Brands like 7 For all Mankind and J Brand have stocked up well for this season's bell bottom trend.

Take a Risk!
Bell bottoms look great in cool colors. Another trend is bold colors, so you'll be two steps ahead in bright bell bottoms. I love them and am looking for a great pair myself.

Louis Vuitton - Fall Winter 2011/2012 Full Fashion Show (Exclusive)

I absoutely loved this show. From the collection, to the scenary, right down to the music. It seems almost like a silent movie.

The collection is very preppy, and mod which we have been seeing a lot of for this upcoming Fall/Winter season. A splash of color was added to certain ensembles but most of the pieces are dull colored, however, the textures and patterns of the fabric make up for the missing color. The combinations of prints and the sorts also make this collection somewhat glam. I love the fur. I love the glitter. I love the patent. I love this collection and I can't wait to see it dressed down on the streets.

Hardware Anyone?

I love hardware so of course this season, I am looking to add many studded and armored pieces to my closet to edge out classy girly looks. Stud looks great when added to staple pieces like a leather jacket, a classic headband, pretty much all girly things; its a touch of spice. The addition of leather and studs with items like a chiffon top, or pencil skirt is ideal because the contrasting textures essentially complete the look. Studs work best on simple pieces like things in neutral shades or of simple design because it isn't too over the top.

Style Star: Emma Watson

Emma Watson:
Known for her role as in the Harry Potter sequels, Emma Watson has grown from pretty little princess to rocking style star.

Her endorsement deal with Burberry was sure to keep her a step ahead, and that is what it did.

Here's a look at how much more fashionable she has become. . .

Cheetah Pumps

Bring out the animal in you this Summer with some wild cheetah print pumps. I have been looking for the perfect animal print pump to rock as a type of neutral shoe, along with my blacks, nudes, and grays.  The perfect animal print shoe can take any ensemble to the next level, only the brave can wear them successfully though so bring out bold this summer!
Here is a picture of a friend and me last summer while I was rocking my leopard print Jessica Simpson Waleo pumps. I wore them with a plain black omni peace tee, abercrombie short shorts, and the jean Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag you can somewhat see in my lap (I love that bag).

Casual Job Interview

This is what I wore to a job interview for a receptionist position at a salon and spa. On top I wore a chiffon dress shirt with an over sized blazer. I decided to dress the outfit down a little by wearing jeans because the job is not ultra professional; black skinny jeans are both causal and chic so they work. The pumps work because they are a professional height, around 3-3.5 inches with a .5 inch platform.  I kept my hair, makeup, and accessories very simple.

Sam Edelman "Joss"

I have had my eye on these boots for months! These boots are from last season but because they are so popular, they are still being sold, and in many places, for close to regular price. I am totally in love with them and will continue to look around for them until I find a price that I like. These boots also come in gray, camel, and white. I love the camel and the black. I've always wanted the black, but I am beginning to lean towards the camel. Be on the lookout for a pic of me in these boots soon.
